  • Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is a specialized massage technique that aims to stimulate the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is responsible for removing waste, toxins, and excess fluid from the body. MLD uses gentle, rhythmic movements and varying degrees of pressure (usually light pressure) to encourage the flow of lymph fluid through the lymphatic vessels. It can help reduce swelling, improve circulation, and support the body's immune system. MLD is often used as a part of post-surgery recovery, or for certain medical conditions like cancer, lymphedema, and autoimmune conditions. It is typically performed by trained therapists who have expertise in lymphatic drainage techniques.

For those looking for MLD for post-surgery like bbls, tummy tucks, lipo, or even orthopedic surgery, choose the 30-minute or 45-minute Post-op MLD service. If you need fibrosis/scar tissue work with the MLD, book the 60-minute session. Please wait at least 21 days for fibrosis work. Depending on each person, you may need 2-3 sessions a week to prevent fibrosis and seromas.

  • Reiki is an ancient Japanese energy healing and spiritual practice that was introduced by Dr. Usui in the early 1900s. It is used to promote relaxation and stress reduction to facilitate the body's own healing. Reiki means universal life force energy. Some of the benefits include a sense of well-being, calm, peacefulness, and security. Reiki is known to facilitate healing by relaxing the body and dissolving stuck or stagnant energy. It also helps to release emotions that are stuck in the body. Clients may experience emotional releases in a safe and caring environment.

Benefits of Clinical Massage and Reiki Healing

Clinical massage and reiki healing can offer numerous benefits for trauma survivors on their healing journey. Firstly, clinical massage helps in releasing tension and stress held in the body, which is often a result of the traumatic experience. Targeting specific muscles and using techniques such as deep tissue massage, can alleviate physical pain and promote relaxation. Moreover, clinical massage improves circulation, thereby enhancing the flow of oxygen and nutrients throughout the body, aiding in the healing process.

Reiki healing complements clinical massage by addressing the energetic aspects of trauma. Through gentle touch or hovering of hands above the body, reiki practitioners channel universal energy to promote balance and harmony within the recipient. This can help trauma survivors release emotional blockages, reduce anxiety and depression, and restore a sense of inner peace.

Overall, the combination of clinical massage and reiki healing offers a holistic approach to healing trauma, supporting survivors in their path toward recovery and well-being.
